The Mikkelsen Copenhagen Toiletry Bag is crafted from full grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide, sourced from an LWG-certified tannery and produced at a BSCI-audited factory, which is the same supply chain behind every Mikkelsen Copenhagen piece.
No corrected grain, no plastic coating: what you see is the natural surface of the hide, finished to develop a personal patina over time.
Inside
A single spacious main compartment opens fully via a YKK zipper, giving immediate access without digging through compartments. A small inner zip pocket keeps smaller items like cards, vitamins or a razor separate from the rest.
The lining is polyester twill: water-resistant and easy to wipe clean, even when something leaks.
A note on natural leather
Grain variation, growth marks, and slight colour differences between bags are part of genuine full grain leather, not a defect. Each piece is one of a kind.

Care: Wipe the exterior clean with a damp cloth and condition occasionally with a natural leather balm. The lining can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap.

THE LEATHER
Our leather is vegetable-tanned. A process that uses natural plant extracts rather than synthetic chemicals, and takes weeks rather than days.
It produces a firmer, more structured hide that softens and gains character with use.
The natural grain, variations in shade, and subtle surface marks you may notice are not imperfections. They are the fingerprint of the individual animal, preserved through the tanning process. No two bags are identical.
Over time, the leather develops a patina: a deepening of colour and richness that reflects the bag's history.

CARE
Vegetable-tanned leather is low-maintenance, but rewards with a little care.
- Wipe down with a dry or slightly damp cloth after use.
- Condition with a natural leather balm every 6-12 months to keep the hide supple and deepen the patina.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight or wet storage.
Small scratches and scuffs will fade naturally and in time, they become part of the bag's story.
